Rounded rectangular with applied himotoshi and separate inner tray; black lacquer ground; decoration in gold, aokin and silver hiramaki-e with lead; compartments and risers black lacquer, shoulders and rims gold fundame; unsigned; slight old wear; metal ojime; and a black-lacquered tiered inro cabinet with engraved silver fittings
