A SMALL WHITE JADE PENDANT PLAQUE

The rectangular plaque has rounded corners and is carved in low relief on one side with a scene of a scholar on horseback and a boy holding a flute in a landscape, and on the reverse with a fourteen-character inscription, hanxue dongfeng qing ma shang, yunshan fudu ru qian qiu (The spring breeze blowing across the icy snow instantly breathes life into everything; the soaring mountains yet again present a long and arduous crossing), followed by two seals, wen and Zigang. The stone is semi-translucent and of even color.
