Lot Essay
Wada Isshin (1814-1882) was a pupil of Fujiki Kyubei and later Goto Ichijo who gave him the name of Isshin.
Accompanied by a Tokubetsu Kicho Token [Especially Precious Sword] certificate attributing the blade to Echizen Shimosaka and another for the koshirae attributing the fittings to Wada Isshin, both issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword] on 14 June 1979
