A Tibetan bronze figure of probably Sarasvati
17th century
Seated in vajrasana on a double lotus pericarp placed on a stepped base, both hands in the gesture of holding the vina, wearing sari, bejewelled and shawl circling around her body, her face with serene expression, elongated earlobes with circular ear rings, her hairdress combed into a bun which falls to the right and decorated with a three-leaf tiara, unsealed
