The graphic source for the present lot appears to be derived from a book of etchings after Nicolaes Berchem (1620-83). The same subject can be seen on a Liverpool delft tile, see Jonathan Horne, English Tin-Glazed Tiles, London, 1989, p. 52, no. 269, and also Ian M. Betts and Rosemary I. Weinstein, Tin-Glazed Tiles from London, London, 2010, pp. 196-197, fig. 504 which supports a Liverpool attribution.
