A VENETIAN GILTWOOD GROTTO ROCKING CHAIR
Late 19th Century, the silk-velvet upholstery possibly supplied by Pierre Delbée of Maison Jansen, Paris, circa 1965
The oval padded clamshell-form back and seat covered in close-buttoned brown silk-velvet, with dolphin arm terminals, on hippocamp and dolphin legs with arched rocking bars, regilt, minor losses to stretchers, probably originally silvered
35in. (89cm.) high; 24in. (61cm.) wide; 41½in. (105.5cm.) deep
