Each molded with petal-shaped panels "pencilled" with vine-hung trees growing amidst rocks, between floral and crosshatch borders, the domed cover decorated en suite below a bud finial painted with overlapping petals

A similar covered jar decorated with floral panels is illustrated by R. Krahl and J. Ayers in Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum, Istanbul, vol. III, London, 1986, p. 1001, no. 2126. See also the jar with alternating landscape and floral panels, also dated to the Kangxi period, sold Sotheby's, New York, 21-22 September 2005, lot 88.
