The first by Joseph Manton, London, circa 1800
The first with turn-off barrel numbered '1', finely engraved 'screwless' action signed within martial trophies, thumbpiece safety-catch also locking the steel, rollers, folding trigger, and flat-sided figured walnut butt (surface rust, butt with minor bruising), no proof marks; the second with octagonal turn-off barrel, engraved action and folding trigger, and figured walnut butt with silver butt-trap
