A VERY RARE RHINOCEROS HORN PENDANT
Qianlong period (1736-95)
The shaped rectangular plaque pierced through the centre for suspension and carved in medium relief on one side with two characters, zhai jie, and on the other with two Mongolian characters, surrounded by a frame of archaistic scrolling dragons, the horn of dark honey and caramel tone
