A VICTORIAN FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON A TWO HANDLED SILVER PLATED TRAY, maker's mark of J. & A. Savory, London, 1839, baluster cream jug 1840, comprising teapot, baluster coffee pot, two handled open sugar basin, and cream jug, each lobed pear shaped on four elaborate foliate tapering supports with scroll apron between, the shoulder chased with broad band of blossom centered matted water-leaves, with reeded scalloped rim, the pots with part foliate and reeded scroll spout and handle, the hinged raised partly lobed cover topped by squash finial on leafy calyx--the coffee pot 10¼in. (26.cm.) high, the shaped oval tray engraved with broad arabesque frieze, the rim with floral scalloped corners between gadrooning, with two elaborate conforming handles--length over handles 30in. (76.2cm.), the service gross weight 84.5oz. (5)
