The stepped domed top surmounted by pineapple finials, the sides with pierced frets with handles above, the canted angles with caryatids, the dial with matted centre, chime/silent lever above 60 and chime on eight bells/Cambridge chimes selection ring, the substantial eight day triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, quarter chimes on eight bells and hour strike on later bell replacing the original gong and its hammer (still with the clock), the back plate with foliate engraving; pendulum; on original gilt-bronze mounted wall bracket
