The three-tier box with drop-down handles to the sides and inset bone roundel to the front inscribed 2/975, brass gimbal with bowl numbered 975, the 113 mm. diameter silvered dial with subsidiary seconds ring and signed in the centre BARRAUD CORNHILL with Barraud's aperture up/down dial above LONDON/2/975, blued steel spade and double swell hands, single chain and fusee movement with Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance, segmental heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, dovetail spring foot detent with jewelled locking stone mounted on side of banking block, Barraud 'butterfly' winding assembly; with guard box
