A Victorian Scottish tea kettle on an earlier stand
(lacking burner), pear shaped with hinged domed cover and non-matching knop finial, the swing handle with reverse curves and ivory insulators, the body chased and embossed in a floral and Moresque pattern of vertical bands with diamond diaper pattern interspersed with palmette and shell motifs, centred with two shaped cartouches (one crested), on a pierced curved spool-shaped stand similarly decorated, on scroll feet, by Marshall & Sons, the kettle 1883, the stand 1860, 29cm high to finial, 48oz.
