A VICTORIAN SILVER KETTLE ON STAND,
MARK OF MARTIN, HALL & CO., SHEFFIELD, 1853,
Of squat baluster form with game bird finial, fixed leafy scroll handle with ivory insulators, the scallped & mask-decorated spout terminating in eagle head, the body chased with sprays of roses & thistles, "C" scrolls & flowers, initialled cartouche to one side, the other with vacant cartouche, the stand on four scroll supports terminating in dolphin heads above shell feet, complete with detachable spirit lamp, 17 in. high (43 cm.), 73.75 oz.
