Maker's mark of Robert Hennell, London, 1854
Shaped circular and on four flower, foliage and scroll feet, the openwork border cast and chased with latticework, arcading, flowers, foliage, scrolls, seated figures and birds, the centre chased with a broad band of diaperwork, shells, scrolls, flowers and foliage and engraved with two coats-of-arms acollé within drapery mantling and with duke's coronet above, marked on reverse
