MARK OF JOHN SAMUEL HUNT, LONDON, 1848
Shaped circular and on four openwork fruiting grapevine and scroll feet with an openwork fruiting grapevine and rocaille border, engraved with trailing foliage and flowers centring a coat-of-arms, marked underneath, the base further stamped 'HUNT & ROSKELL LATE STORR, MORTIMER & HUNT 3910'
25 in. (63.5 cm.) diam.

The arms are those of Harris, for John Dove Harris (d.1878) of Ratcliff Hall, co. Leicester. He married Emma, neé Shirley, in 1831. He was M.P. for Leicester.
