MARK OF ROBERT GARRARD, LONDON, 1856
Each pear-shaped with engine-turned decoration, the teapot with a hinged cover and a carved ivory handle, each engraved underneath with the Murray crest below an earl's coronet, the teapot marked underneath, on cover bezel and on finial, the cream jug marked underneath, each further stamped underneath 'GARRARDS Panton Street LONDON' and with model number '32'
the teapot -- 9 in. (23 cm.) wide
gross weight 31 oz. (977 gr.)
The crest is that of Murray for William David Murray, 4th Earl of Mansfield (1806-1898). (2)
