MARK OF MESSRS. SAVORY, LONDON, 1881
Shaped oval with beaded rim, on four leaf and scroll bracket feet, engraved with strapwork, birds, floral swags and inscribed to centre with presentation inscription from the Vestry of the Parish of St. James and St. John, Clerkenwell, to Edward John Thompson, Esq. on his resignation as Representative of Clerkenwell, at the Metropolitan Board of Works on the 8th of April 1884
