CIRCA 1735-40
Of shaped quatrefoil form with four straight sides joined by two scrolls, painted with a central pink rose flanked by small sprays of red and blue flowers, the border with two sprays of puce flowers alternating with two sprays of red flowers, the underside with three further flower-sprays (chip to underside of rim, areas of wear to small red spray at well, slight flaking and minute areas of wear to puce enamel, firing crack to footrim)

Lot Essay

A plate of the same form and almost identical decoration was in the Karl Mayer Collection, sale Glückselig, Vienna on 19th November 1928, lot 66 (pl. 26), and is possibly from the same service.
