painted with the nymph Daphne seated on a grassy mound in a wooded landscape, titled to the reverse Sylvie and Daphne, the border gilt with scrolling foliage reserved on claret and yellow-ground panels, within gilt line rim, blue shield mark and incised numerals, late 19th century (minor surface scratches and rubbing to gilding) -- 24.5cm. diam.
