A Wakizashi Blade Ascribed to Soshu Fusamune
Signed Fusamune, Muromachi Period (Late 15th-Early 16th Century)
The blade honzukuri, iorimune, koshi-zori with chu-kissaki, itame-nagare hada with ji-nie, wide midare hamon of nie, ko-maru boshi, the blade with a bohi ni soebi containing a kenmakiryu horimono, ubu nakago, 8 7/16in. (21.4 cm.), in its black lacquer saya with a silvered ring kurikata, iron handachi fuchi-kashira and kojiri chiselled with stylised clouds, mokkogata iron tsuba with yasurime signed Nobusada (rusted), lacquer tsuka binding with Goto School gold dragon menuki, 19th Century.
