A well detailed 1:24 scale model of the Dutch merchant galeas Kirsten Duntzfeldt of 1833
modelled by K. Britten in yellow pine and with masts, yards, booms, stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, full suit of stiched linen 'weathered' sails with patches, bow carving, wooden anchors with bound stocks and chains, catheads, belaying rail with pins, deck winch, horse, companionway, cleats, hatches with removable covers, dinghy in chocks with bottom boards, thwarts, oars, rudder and ropes, deck galley with stove, bilge pumps, compass box with compass and lanterns, aft deck house with lavatory and storage area, bullwark nets, stern dinghy in davits and other details. The hollowed hull of bread-and-butter construction with rudder, glazed stern gallery, chain plates with deadeyes and booms, is finished in 'weathered' white, black, red, varnish and 'rust' and is set on a cradle stand -- 49 x 66in. (124.5 x 167.6cm.)
