A well detailed and presented display model of a cargo ship of circa 1920 -- 17 x 51½ (43 x 131cm)
With masts and detailed rigging, derricks and deck details including anchors, winch, cleats, bollards, deck rails, companionways, cargo hatches, deck winches, ventilators, wheelhouse with open bridge over with searchlight and other details, stayed funnel with safety valve extension pipe and hooter, engine room lights, six awning staunchions and many other details. The hull, with simulated plating, has single screw and rudder and is finished in red and black with white boot top and planked decks. Mounted on four turned brass columns on satinwood inlaid mahogany base. Mahogany glazed case with opening doors with locks. Measurements overall -- 23 x 57in (58.5 x 144.8cm)

The name of the prototype ship is not known but is one of three built for the US Shipping Board by G F Standifer Construction Company, Vancouver, Washington 1918. They were operated by the American France Line
