A well engineered and detailed well presented approx 1:20 scale model of the Weatherhill Pit Winding Engine of 1833 -- 19 x 14½in (48 x 37cm)
With single cylinder ¾in bore x 2¼in stroke, the crosshead located by two twin wall mounted beams, fluted barrelled conecting rods with jibbed and cottered big end, over-mounted crankshaft supported on wall and floor mounted timbers, two main bearings and lubricator cups, hand operated band brake and gear drive to twin rope drums. Finished in brown and green with yellow lining and polished brightwork and built 'in house' with rough cast walls and wood floors

NOTE: The original engine is fitted with gab valve gear, the model with slip eccentric reverse.
