A WHITE JADE LOBED PENDANT/PLAQUE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The thick pendant is carved on one side with an archaistic taotie mask and the reverse with two characters, hu fu ('tiger tally'), within an oval border, all below ruyi clouds at the top, which is pierced for stringing. The semi-translucent stone is of even tone.
2 1/8 in. (4.5 cm.) high
