A WHITE JADE 'LOTUS' STAND
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The stand is carved in the form of a circular lotus flower, the petals curling over the rim, with a lotus pod to the centre, all supported on a tall flared foot carved and pierced with a band of stylised lappets. The stone is of an exceptionally pale even tone.
4 in. (10.2 cm.) diam.
