A William III walnut and floral marquetry longcase clock of month duration

The plinth inlaid with floral marquetry on an ebony ground within a geometric ebony inlaid border, on later bun feet, similar geometric ebony inlay bordering the rectangular trunk door with further floral marquetry and centred by a brass-framed lenticle, marquetry to the throat moulding and to the hood now applied with later twist columns, the 11in. square dial signed Daniel Quare London on the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, well pierced blued steel hands, the matted centre with decorated calendar aperture and ringed winding holes, rosette engraved centre, silvered seconds ring, winged cherub and foliate spandrels, foliate engraving to the border, the movement with six ringed pillars (five latched, one pinned), anchor escapement, hour strike on a bell via countwheel (replaced) planted on the back plate
