Rectangular, with rounded corners, the cover and base enamelled with scrolls and foliage on a black ground, the lid inset with a slightly raised small oval gold plaque engraved with initials RB, the pierced grille engraved with foliage and flowers, marked on reverse of grille and interior base and cover
