A William IV mahogany and brass-inlaid striking bracket clock
Circa 1835
The arched case with foliate cornice mouldings, with projecting volutes to the front flanking a brass-lined and inlaid fielded panel, the sides with loop handles above silk-backed tracery sound frets, with glazed rear door, on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman convex dial with rubbed signature and blued steel moon hands, the twin chain fusee movement with arched plates and anchor escapement, strike on bell, with pendulum holdfast and later movement securing brackets to the back plate
19½in. (49.5cm.) high;
and an associated mahogany and brass-inlaid wall bracket with simple scroll support -- 12¼in. (31cm.) wide (2)
