of globular form, painted in red and dark brown on a chalky white slip, with a series of six geometric motifs, surmounted by three heartline deer, each beneath a stylized feather arch, alternating with three splayed frogs modelled in relief, dark brown underbody, with old tag affixed to the bottom, inscribed, Zuni Pottery, Made at Pueblo of Zuni, Western New Mexico, and inscribed on the base, XZU-54-G and 1939.398
