Lot Essay

At the extreme right is the Palazzo Barbarigo; beyond is the dome of the Salute and to the left is the Palazzo Corner. The original is in the Royal Collection, Windsor Castle (see M. Levey, The Later Italian Pictures in the Collection of Her Majesty The Queen, London, 1964, p. 58, no. 387 and pl. 143).
