Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, at night, supported by a courtesan and followed by female attendants, they walk across a marble terrace, female musicians accompany them, the sky lit by full moon, laid down on gold-speckled card between gold floral borders, identification cartouche in black nasta'liq at top reading 'khayyal', the reverse with nasta'liq quatrain on illuminated ground, signed Hafiz Nurullah, old English label to reverse, mounted, framed and glazed
