Set with an oval-shaped alexandrite weighing 11.39 carats within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, mounted in platinum, ring size 5¾
With report no. 0508118 dated 29 August 2005 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the alexandrite is of Brazilian origin, displays a pronounced colour-change phenomenon.
Accompanied by an appendix stating that it possesses a very high degree of transparency, combined with a very strong colour-change effect, from bluish-green when viewed in daylight to purple upon exposure to incandescent light

Alexandrite were first discovered near Hematita in the Minas Gerais State of Brazil during 1987 and quickly gained high international acclaim for the outstanding degree of colour-change exhibited by these extraordinary gems. Since the time of the original finds, the production of top-quality material has been small and sporadic. The combination of high clarity and pronounced colour-change effect in a Brazilian alexandrite of this size is rare.
