Made up of twelve chromolithographed gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees, the Greenwich meridian ungraduated, the ecliptic not shown, the oceans with three large wind roses, a key to symbols and scale and steamship routes with distances in nautical miles, the continents brightly and variously coloured and showing towns, cities and rivers, with a stamped brass hour dial, ungraduated, and a stamped brass meridian circle in a mahogany stand with a plain horizon raised on four curved quadrant supports to a baluster-turned column with three hipped carved legs terminating in scroll feet
