Shaped circular, the undulating everted border chased with maple leaves and seed pods, the sides with large maple leaves above short bud feet, underside engraved with script initials EB, gilt interior, marked on underside, coded H/QA and with retailer's mark

Gorham's Martele archives, as reproduced by Larry Pristo in Martele 950-1000 FINE Gorham's Nouveau Art Silver, 2002, p. 331, record that Bowl H/QA was raised in 38 hours by Thomas Singleton and chased for 39 hours by James G. Seton. It was priced at $112 when completed on 23 February 1906.
