An ancestor portrait in ink and colour on paper, 16th century
depicting a bearded man seated in a chair draped with a tiger skin, the figure wearing a tabbed hat and orange robe tied at the waist, trimmed in black and over patterned undergarments, all below an inscription -- 59in. x 25¼in. (149.9cm. x 64.1cm.), mounted.

The sitter was born in 1478 and died in the ? year of the Jiajing era. The inscription is dated the dingwei year of Jiajing era (1547).
