Woven in wools and silks, from the Story of Emperor Otavian Augustus, depicting the battle between the Romans and the Germans, within an architectural border centred to top and bottom by a cabochon in a scrollwork cartouche, flanked by floral garlands and decorated with dragons, the sides headed by eagles above military trophies and female figures representative of victory and peace, each on a sphere and a vase supported by winged griffons, within a brown outer slip
