OTTOMAN PROVINCES, DATED 1807 AD
The steel octagonal barrel slightly flaring at mouth, the hardwood stock inlaid with green stained bone, ivory and mother-of-pearl panels and small metal hexagon roundels, the decoration of stylized foliage, flowers and birds, some panels decorated with engraved roundels inlaid with red composition, the underside of the stock with the date and an Armenian inscription, the stock's extremity formed by a large ivory block maintained by a silver band applied on each side of the stock, the miquelet lock with engraved and nielloed floral decoration, the barrel with an engraved date of AH 1235 and an inscription reading ma sha' Allah, with fine gold damascening at each extremity of the barrel, good condition
