According to the vendor, this evening bag was formerly the property of Jean Harlow. The vendor inherited it from her great uncle, who was a friend of Harlow's in the 1930's, when he worked at Hal Roach Studios.

Designed as a blue and gold floral tapestry bag, with a geometric motif mother-of-pearl and black enamel frame, enhanced by rose-cut diamonds, to the rose-cut diamond scroll clasp, suspended from a twin black silk cord handle, with diamond and black enamel boules, mounted in platinum, circa 1925, with French assay mark and maker's mark, with its original Cartier red leather case
