AN ATTIC WHITE-GROUND LEKYTHOS
circa mid 5th century b.c.
With a youth and a maiden, the youth standing to the left, wearing a short chiton which leaves his right shoulder bare, holding a spear or staff in his left hand, and extending his right hand, the maiden standing frontal with her head turned towards the youth, wearing a peplos, holding a phiale in her left hand raised to her shoulder and a mirror in her lowered right hand, a reserved band below, a band of key above framed by plain bands, palmettes on the shoulder with dotted egg pattern above
