Provenance
The present motifs were surplus to requirement for the bed-hangings made for the state bed, Beau Manor, Leicestershire (the bed dated circa 1680), formerly on loan to Temple Newsam, and later Bowes Museum.
Special notice
No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
