AN AUSTRIAN ENAMELLED GOLD BONBONNIÈRE
probably Vienna, circa 1780, the enamels in the manner of Wenceslas Chudy (1730-1790)
Circular box, the independent cover, sides and base enamelled in pink with bands of white husks bordered by bar links, the cover with central grisaille scene of putti kissing on a cloud and the base similarly centred by a putto with an arrow and greyhound on a cloud, within bright-cut gold mounts
1 13/16 in. (46 mm.) diam.
