The arched case with shell-carved cresting and conforming finial to the waisted terminal, rope-twist mouldings flanking the glazed front door, the white enamel Roman dial with gilt bezel and recessed centre signed Alois Gruner WIEN, enamel beat scale, brass wall securing screws to lower case, the single train movement with deadbeat anchor escapement -- 42¾in. (109cm.) high
