An early 20th-Century lacquered-brass compound monocular microscope,
unsigned, with rack and pinion focusing within the main limb and micrometer fine adjustment, simple stage and plano-concave mirror, tilting on an axis between two uprights from the scallop-edged V-shaped base with three circular stepped feet, with one eyepiece (no objective, case) -- 38.1cm. (15in.) high; and a microscope lamp with glass reservoir, brass burner and ceramic cover, the reservoir and burner with screw clamp to the vertical brass pillar from an ebonised iron ring base, in a pine box with brass carrying handle and two hooks and eyes -- 30.5cm. (12in.) high
