The case with brass-capped swan neck pediment to the hood centred by a brass ball and eagle finial, outset reeded square section columns, the tracery arch three-quarter length trunk door with central bats' wing patera, with Greek key inlay to the plinth with chamfered sides and on bracket feet, the white dial with Arabic chapters and floral spandrels, date aperture and subsidiary seconds ring to the centre, rolling ship to the arch (dial re-painted), the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 93½in. (238cm.) high
