An early Victorian mahogany and brass inlaid striking table clock, circa 1840
The arched case with brass loop handles above fish scale sound frets, recessed panel to the front with brass inlays and on brass ball feet, later ball finial, the off white painted Roman dial with blued steel diamond-shaped hands, the eight day five pillar movement with arched plates, twin wire fusees with anchor escapement and strike on bell, trip repeat, with later pendulum holdfast, inscribed to the reverse of the dial plate inscribed Finnemore & Son 141 -- 19¾in. (50cm.) high
