AN EAST GREEK SILVER AND GARNET BOWL
HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA 1ST CENTURY B.C.
Hemispherical in form, cast with a large raised rosette on the base of the exterior, set with cabochon garnets in each petal and at its center, small rosettes below the rim alternating with half-petals composed of four ridges, a cabochon garnet in the center of each, the rim with a stamped scale pattern on the exterior, stamped petals on the upper surface of the rim, some traces of gilding below the rim
