AN EGYPTIAN ALABASTER ALABASTRON
CIRCA 6TH-5TH CENTURY B.C.
With twin vestigial 'duck-headed' handles, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; a Roman pale blue glass shallow bowl with slightly concave base, 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) diam.; a pale blue glass miniature round bottomed flask with tall cylindrical neck, 3¼ in. (8.2 cm.) high; a miniature green glass flask with constricted neck and wide flared rim, 2 7/8 in. (7.4 cm.) high, all 2nd-4th Century A.D.; and a Roman sheet bronze disc mirror, one side decorated with incised concentric circles, handle now missing, 1st Century A.D., 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) diam. (5)

English private collection.
Item one: purchased in Thebes, Luxor, during WWII. Items two-four: probably acquired in the Holy Land in circa 1946.
