With eyes recessed for inlay (now missing), and plaited beard, 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; a bronze figure of a kneeling king, wearing nemes-headdress, arms missing, Third Intermediate Period, circa 9th-8th Century B.C., 5 in. Provenance
Acquired by the present owner's father in the 1950s (d. 1969), and thence by descent to the present owner (see lots 9-12 and 44).
