LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXVI-XXX, CIRCA 664-332 B.C.
The goddess depicted seated, clad in a tightly-fitted dress, tripartite wig fronted by a uraeus and crowned with two cow horns framing a sun disc, offering her left breast to her divine son Horus seated on her lap, wearing a skull-cap fronted by a uraeus and the side lock of youth, mounted

Provenance
Formerly in the collection of Dr. J. J. Acworth (1853-1927), who visited Egypt in the late 19th Century, and thence by descent to the present owner (see lots 14-19).
